We are so excited to announce TASTE and TALES, a sensory yinyang food experience. The collaboration between the Italian masterchef LAPO, positively known in the Cape Town Food scene, and YUNAMI, the Amsterdam based couple Yuna & Mitch who share their passion to bring umami on your palatum.

When the 3 met last year, YUNAMI felt inspired by the pure skills of Lapo making a huge pan of risotto, in the middle of Afrika Burn. They connected and the seed was planted.

This night is designed to engage all five senses, taking you on a culinary adventure that transcends mere eating. It's not just about tasting food; it's about experiencing it in a way that brings mindfullness, humor and a deep connection to each dish and each other.

We'll start with a series of carefully designed mouthfulls, each paired with a story and soundscape.

The feast contains dishes that each embodies the concept of yin and yang, reflecting harmony, contrasts and balance. The menu showcases a fusion of South African, Italian, Dutch and English cuisines, highlighting the clash and blend of different culinary traditions.

After dinner we will gather for a mezcal ceremony on the rooftop and make sure you bring your boogie outfit because we'll have a music programme set up that will sooth your whole nervous system.

A night to never forget, where we merge and blend our cultures and mutual, old and new friends. It will be a playful journey, filled with TASTE and TALES.
