ADHD: Foundation (1 day) 05/10

€35.00

Designed for those with a recent ADHD diagnosis, suspected diagnosis, or anyone looking to understand ADHD better, this workshop integrates breath and movement with interactive lectures. The aim is to soothe the common challenges associated with ADHD, such as Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD), fluctuating focus, overwhelm, decision paralysis, and the sticky residue of shame. Building on the foundational workshop, the “Follow-Up" session delves deeper into managing ADHD with a focus on nutrition, gut health, and sleep hygiene. Designed for continued support and learning, this workshop aims to further address the bedfellows of ADHD, such as RSD, fluctuating focus, overwhelm, decision paralysis, and the lingering effects of shame.

October 5th: Foundation (14:00-16:30)

Join us for a transformative 2.5-hour workshop designed to explore holistic approaches for managing ADHD symptoms. This session will provide a comprehensive but digestable introduction to understanding ADHD from a neuroscientific standpoint, looking at among other things, the Default Mode Network and Task Positive Network in the brain and the Stress-System in the body, including ways to manage it. We will delve into the power of nutrition, examining ADHD-friendly foods and supplements to enhance cognitive function. Participants will also learn effective breathwork practices, such as mindful breathing and diaphragmatic techniques, to improve focus and reduce the potential for anxiety. We’ll touch on ways to manage a desk-based workday such as utilising binaural beats and isochronic tones for enhancing concentration. Through lectures we will learn exactly why Movement can be one of the best tools for holistically managing ADHD. Including tips on how to commit to a routine for movement, however flexible it needs to be. Through interactive activities and practical strategies, you will gain valuable insights and tools to help you or your loved one navigate ADHD in a near-typical world. This session follows a frame-work and you will receive the content as a PDF so you can reference in future. As part of the workshop we will have moments to break out into discussion, helping to foster a sense of seeing and being seen by the compassionate gaze of other people navigating the same things.

Ideal for both individuals or loved ones seeking to create a supportive environment.
